Vuzix Announces Its Next Generation Video Eyewear -- the Widescreen Wrap(TM) 1200

ROCHESTER, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 01/04/11 -- Vuzix Corporation (TSX-V: VZX) (OTCBB: VUZI) ("Vuzix" or, the "Company") announced today that it will begin shipping its next generation video eyewear product, the widescreen Wrap 1200 in the Spring 2011. This is Vuzix' first high-resolution video eyewear model in a native 16:9 format and offers full color WVGA (852 x 480) support with component video inputs. The video eyewear provide a viewing experience similar to a 75-inch flat panel television viewed from 10-feet, the world's first high-resolution 16:9 widescreen video eyewear.

Like all patented Wrap model video eyewear models, the Wrap 1200 can be worn over many prescription eyeglasses. In addition, focal adjustment is provided for each eye. Adjustable IPD (eye-separation), nose bridge and the Vuzix trademark AccuTilt® features ensure optimum comfort even for the longest movies. Wearers can view standard 2D video or any of multiple 3D formats, NTSC or PAL video content in 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio. The Wrap connects to virtually any video source through its standard composite and component connection options, or to a PC through an optional adapter. The Wrap 1200 comes with cables for easy connection to an Apple® iPhone® or iPod touch®. No other video eyewear offers the same degree of content compatibility, comfort and performance.
